Who doesn’t love golden, crisp crostini? Crostini is crusty bread brushed with olive oil, toasted in the oven to perfection.

Crostini are simple and easy to make, making them the perfect base for your party appetizers or a fun light meal with accompaniments.

 
Supplies:

  • • The Quattro or Primo Wood Burning Pizza Oven
  • • Pre-Seasoned Cast Iron Skillet Pan
  • Ingredients:

  • • 3 Bratwurst Sausages
  • • ½ lb of Stracchino Cheese
  • • 1 tablespoon of chopped Chives
  • • 1 Baguette (crusty French bread)
  • • Black Pepper
  • • Salt
  • • Zerillo Premium Extra Virgin Olive Oil
    • Step 1.

      Fire up your Ciao Bella Pizza Oven. Aim for 360-370°F on the stones. You can check the temperature inside your oven quickly and easily using the built-in temperature thermometer gauge.

    • Step 2.

      Using a sharp knife remove the casing from the sausage and place the meat into a bowl.

    • Step 3.

      Next, add the Stracchino cheese, chopped chives, black pepper, and salt, and mix until well combined.

    • Step 4.

      Slice your baguette on the diagonal into pieces no wider than ½-inch.

    • Step 5.

      Top the sliced bread with the sausage mixture.

    • Step 6.

      Place the prepared crostini into your Ciao Bella Pre-Seasoned Cast Iron Skillet Pan.

    • Step 7.

      Bake the crostini for 10 to 15 minutes inside your preheated Ciao Bella Pizza Oven. The crostini should be crisp and nicely golden on top.

      Transfer the crostini to a serving platter.

    • Step 9.

      Top the finished crostini with a delicate drizzle of Zerillo Premium Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
